Hall Place is an impressive Grade 1 listed stately home in the London Borough of Bexley in south-east London. It is surrounded by 65-hectares of stunning, award-winning gardens.offering some outstanding examples of horticulture, including the Queen’s Beasts, an enormous heraldic animal topiary planted in 1953 in celebration of the coronation of HM Queen Elizabeth II. In addition there are fascinating model gardens to photograph and a sub-tropical glasshouse with a host of exotic plants.
On our walk we will explore all of these landscapes, as well as the resident wildlife which includes squirrels, wagtails, geese, exotic ring-necked parakeets, terrapins and even the resident kingfisher. There will be plenty of time to stop and concentrate on any aspect that particularly takes your eye. Photographic advice is given on an informal and individual basis on getting the best out of your equipment and improving your technique. We will spend around two and a quarter hours on our photography and end in the Cafe with a drink and a chat and time to review and share your favourite images.
See the Gallery below for a collection of our participants' favourite images.
